AMT7 Panel discussion

We conducted two panel discussions, one of them concerned an impact the former economic crisis has had on an average Polish family. All the participants were split into three groups and each of them was supposed to present the influence of rising prices on childrens’ well being and their rights in a poor, average and middle class family. Students presented their points of view and discussed to what degree rights, frame of mind and general social condition depend on a situation a family has found oneself in. The second issue concerned Genetically Modified Organisms. We were explained how genetic modification works, what are the objectives of genetic engineering, how it is conducted and, finally, why so many people in the world object against it and find this modifications frightening. We agreed that it is mainly due to lack of knowlegde and, assuming reasonable applying genetic alterations, more of the students were pro GMO.
