PT7 Y olé

Eleven pupils from the college Boris Vian with BODY Project metchoreographer José Montalvo revisits in a whimsical and merry way his Spanish childhood for Y Olé! colourful. Virtuoso of the French and international choreographic scene for more than twenty years, José Montalvo has invented his own language, ludic and merry, weaving magic links between odd dance and video images, making his shows of the pleas for a mongrel esthetics and anethics. The part is dedicated to his/her parents, political refugees Spanish having fled the Francoism, but which, in spite of poverty, made each pretext the occasion organizes festivals flamencas. 

There Olé! try to find the amazement of these intense moments of pure exemption from payment and pure happiness, carried by the dance. The part is built like at the same time serious and an exuberant celebration of the life on the Rite of Spring of Stravinski a scene of festival succeeds which resounds like a return to the sources of the youth of the choreographer, print of the tubes of the years 1970 and musics and popular songs Spanish. Five radiant dancers of flamenco of beauty and eleven outstanding dancers with esthetics contemporary, hip-hop and African share the scene with an overflowing vital energy. As a Master of the interbreeding, José Montalvo, for whom “the mixture of the kinds is a manner of thinking and of feeling the world”, reconciles all the dances and continues to enchant us. Moving and hilarious.
