AS7 Humans are more than a set of cells

Performing this activity took us 8 weeks. Students who were involved built models of 6 human systems – respiratory, blood circulation, nervous, urinary, digestive and skeleton. To start with they produced posters which were drafts of the systems, which learners presented to the rest of the team describing how they function and interrelate. Next they planned what they were going to use to produce a good, comprehensive models. They planned also experiments related to the system they had chosen. Various techniques and materials were used to present the organs and ducts between them. All the systems were compiled on wooden rack and presented to the whole school community. It seems a good educational resource and catches attention of all the passers-by.
