APT4 Theatre home and abroad

The school theatre festival which was organized in order to develop ability to improvise, work as team and learn history in a funnier than a typical school-like way. Each class was asked to perform a short sketch which illustrated one Greek myth. They had to provide costumes, build scenography and write a script of the sketch. It improved their communicative skills and necessity to write a script and design costumes helped themto develop creativity. All the sketches were watched by the jury made up of teachers and head teachers and the best of plays was awarded with a cup. The special attention was drawn to inventiveness and the quality of performance itself. Performing in the public taught students to speak clearly, loudly and with confidence. It equipped them also negotiation skills as they were encouraged to work as a team, discuss ideas and learn how to accept solution provided by others.
