French Sign Language (FSL) Action

Pupils can choose FSL as an elective subject. At school, all the students are hearing persons. Jean Bart high school do not provide education for deaf and mute pupils

The pupils could find out that the relevance of mime is to be able to communicate differently. Indeed the mind adapts itself to the body.

Emotions come out thanks to immobility and re-action.

If words are missing, the body talks: hand signs, twisting of the body, head movements, facial expressions, gaze direction….

Learning sign language can be a means of expressing oneself without speaking, a means of seeing the other unequivocally, a means of talking and listening silently through songs, stories and recipes.

During the exchange program with Spain, pupils attended an FSL lesson.
