The students did some research or shared their knowledge to find out information about the traditional or typical crops grown in the north of France and the different ways of eating these foods. Some students discussed the matter with their grandparents and made typical dishes with their families.
Then, they studied the nutritional qualities of these foods and how they affect health and wellbeing.
They compared what they eat now with the traditional north of France dishes and some other types of food or diets. They studied the Mediterranean diet, how it differs from the others and its beneficial effects on health.
The students created two pages: one  about chicory and the other about the potato, giving information about the two foods and including a recipe for each.
They realised that food has a great impact on health and how important it is to have a balanced and healthy diet. They saw the differences between  diets related to geaographical regions.
